Hi there. My name is Alex and I’m a fan of personal development, constantly working to improve myself. My way of doing this is by using the brick method. You can read below about Brick Blogging.
The short version for those that don’t have the patience to read the entire post:
Brick Blogging is about working your way towards meeting your goals, building your success brick by brick, constantly working towards personal improvement and challenging yourself to do more.
And now for the longer version
As many I assume would agree, life is what you make of it. There are no long term shortcuts toward becoming the person you’d like to be. It doesn’t matter if your aim is to be rich, have a nice career, a happy family life or to be healthy. Nothing comes to you without work. In my opinion, these goals are like building a house. Every action you take towards that goal is a brick.
For a blogger, a brick might be an article, a new subscriber, a link from another blogger, a comment from a reader or one that you leave on another blog. I also believe that every single action should be considered a single brick. It doesn’t matter if one of those actions gets you a return 100 times bigger then any other brick. When building a house, that last brick might be the one that completes the wall, but without all the other bricks the wall wouldn’t exist. This isn’t true just for blogging. If your goal is to end up working for Google, that interview day may seem the most important brick in the wall, but without all the hard days of work that brought you to this point, the last brick wouldn’t be there.
You can meet your goal with just 10 bricks, or you might need 10,000. Either way, you have to work for each and every brick.
My goal with this blog is to help you meet your goals while becoming a happier and healthier person. I believe that in order to be truly happy you need to be successful in all areas: financial, family, friends, health. We’ll take it brick by brick and work our way towards this goal.
